Happy Sunday!
It’s been a (lazy) reflective one, just reflecting on the past week. Being self-employed is hard. We all have our wins and losses no matter what our career choice might be. But everyday when I get to share my message of the importance of self-love and why you deserve happiness, I count it as a win.
What do you count as your wins? It’s the time of year when Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is very common. Sometimes a “win” is just getting out of bed. Please count that as a “win”. Know that things will get better and there is help out there.
Recognize the signs
The most common signs of S.A.D. include a sense of sadness and feeling lethargic. Other symptoms include but are not limited to the following:
- Difficulty sleeping
- Feeling less social than usual
- Difficulty taking initiative
I don’t know how I got on this topic, but this is where my heart is leading me. How can I promote happiness without addressing the many things that can affect your peace of mind? How can you be happy when you are barely surviving?
If you are doing great, then that’s awesome! You are living your best life and doing it right. But check on your friends and families. Especially the so-called strong ones, the ones who suffer in silence. Ask them if they are doing okay and don’t brush off their answer. Give them your full attention.
